A quiz that contains strange and often quirky news stories on a month by month basis. Other rounds include who is the leader and who is the champion.

A assembly with a 5 minute tube link about the inspirational father and son, Rick and Dick Hoyt. When on the achievements page I would talk about the who they actually are - leave the “surprise” of the disability until the video.

Print off and give to all students to review the year. A brilliant end of year activity. Students anomalously can then hand them back in - fold the slips and place in a jar for you to read later.

A knowledge organiser for Y7 variables and planning an investigation

A bookmark that be printed and laminated if needed and given to students to aid the variation of their revision. Is suited to all subject areas. It could also be given to parents if needed and required. Twitter @TJohns85

A simple excel spreadsheet for premium authors to track accounts. Which day is best for sales? Is there a better week/month etc. Feel free to use and abuse.

Hand out a graph per student as they enter the room (I keep anonymous unless they want to write their name on the back) Inform them what challenge is - a little out of their comfort zone get students to plot the points of their learning journey throughout the lesson This is a great way to reflect on your teaching - was their enough challenge. The results may surprise you.
